The guest speaker at the January, meeting of Wolverhampton Pensioners Convention will be Liz Lynne MEP, who has a particular interest in disabilities and older people. Ms Lynne is Co-Chair of the European Parliament All Party Intergroup on Aging, and she is Vice President of the All Party Disability Intergroup in the European Parliament. She is also President of the Liberal Democrat Disability Association. The meeting will take place on 30 January and will start at 10.30 am in the Council Chamber, Wolverhampton Civic Centre. Guest speakers for February are Kim Payne of HOPE, talking about the role of HOPE in the community. There will also be a presentation by the members of Women Who Write, promoting the library service. March Guest speakers will be Ken Purchase MP, Rob Marris MP and Pat McFadden MP, the three Wolverhampton Members of Parliament. There will be a limited opportunity to ask questions. Members and guests all welcome. Members are reminded that membership fees are due in January.
